DTH subscribers won’t have to buy new boxes while changing operators.<br />TRAI is currently testing the interoperable Set-Top boxes.<br />Interoperable Set-Top boxes will allow you to change operators without changing new boxes.<br />Subscribers will benefit massively with no expenses required for a new Set-Top box while changing operators.<br />Recently, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended that all Set Top Boxes (STBs) in the country must be made interoperable.<br /><br />It means that consumers should be able to use the same STB across different DTH (direct-to-home) or cable TV providers.
